Label TextThis container is carved into the form of a seal that appears to be playfully floating on its back in the water. The modeling of body and the youthful expression on its face seems to suggest a young seal pup. Small white beads detail the eyes, the flippers and the belly which also acts as the lid of the container.ProvenanceGeorge Terasaki, New York City
