Label TextJoseph Schoell, an immigrant from Hungary came to the United States following the failed uprising against the Soviets in 1956, he settled on Long Island, and got a job as a sheet metal worker. After retirement, he bought a summer house in Margaretville, NY and created whimsical sculptures to place on the lawn. This sculpture stood on Schoell’s lawn alongside two others featured in this exhibit.
