Label TextNineteenth-century traders used the word Moqui for the Hopi and mistakenly believed that they wove blankets with extremely narrow bands such as this. Blankets of this design were made by the Dine (Navajo), although the influence of the Mexican Saltillo tradition is evident in the large central diamonds.
