Label TextThe wooden hunting hats of Alaska combine artistry with their practical use as rain and sun visors protecting the face from rain and snow. The spray of feathers at the back of this hat symbolically and spiritually imparted the bird’s keen instincts to the hunter. The elegant feathers and their careful arrangement pleased the spirit of the animal. The unusual shape of this closed-crown hat and its minimal decoration create a powerful appearance.
