Label TextEmmaline Beebe was the eldest daughter of Levi Beebe who was the postmaster of Hartwick, New York. She was the sister of Washington T. Beebe (N0323.1963). Washington Beebe married Sarah A. Fuller who was the daughter of Dr. Thomas Fuller (N0325.1963) and Mary Polly Fuller (N0324.1963) - James Fenimore Cooper's great grandparents. Washington Beebe's daughter, Emma Fuller Beebe (N0321.1963) was named after Emmaline. Emmaline married Elizur Fairman in 1820. Both this and other Emma Beebee (N0321.1963) were related to Dr. and Mrs. Fuller. Mrs. George Ames and the mother of the donor (also Emma Beebee) were daughters of the late Captain and Mrs. I.H. Beebee who are buried in the Cooperstown cemetery.
