Label TextLong celebrated for her tapestries, Sakiestewa is a central figure in contemporary Native American art, known for her seamless synthesis of abstraction with ritual imagery and ancient techniques. The Nebula series was inspired by the Hubble Space Telescope Project program and deep space photography. This series of tapestries allows her to explore the dynamics of time and space.
