Label TextThe "Chauncey Vibbard" in "Uptrip, Morning" and the "Daniel Drew" in "Downtrip, Afternoon" were two of the many day line steamboats that traveled the Hudson River between New York City and Albany, New York. The landscape painter John Williamson was a second-generation Hudson River School artist who followed in the tradition of Thomas Cole and Asher B. Durand
