Label TextMi'kmaq (Micmac) women are among the finest quillworkers in North America, creating intricate geometric designs on birchbark. They produced a wide range of objects that appealed to the Canadian and American public. Designed to be used on a table, this mat has a very elaborate border detailed with silk binding and white beads.
