Label TextIn this portrait of the artist’s partner, Han depicts Paul Kellogg with his legs crossed, seated in a cushioned white chair, against a blank background. Although Han is best known for his still life work, his depictions of the human figure are as equally serene and carefully composed. Paul is rendered with a sensitivity to detail and a muted palette of light grey, white, and brown. These stylistic choices are used repeatedly by Han to create a sense of calmness in his work.
