Label TextStrip quilts were less common than quilts built on square blocks, and not generally represented among more artistic quilt styles, though they were made throughout the century. Accordingly, the triangles that represent the flying geese and their backgrounds here show little intentionality in the choice of fabric and color: a great variety of prints are used, producing no clear pattern. However, the addition of the red and yellow stripes in alternating groups helps to keep the “geese” more regimented and less chaotic.On View
