Label TextThe basic block of Drunkard’s Path is simply a square with a curve cut out and swapped with a curved piece cut from a contrasting square. These blocks are then paired with each other in such a way as to create a twisting or pinwheeling shape. This particular iteration has a number of evocative names that reflect the winding of the pattern and the way that the individual pieces fit together, including but hardly limited to: Wanderer’s Path, Robbing Peter to Pay Paul, Old Maid’s Puzzle, and Pumpkin Vine.On View
